Designed for family life
Kinioo is a service designed to make it easier to organize and share information within the family.
Its use is based on a few simple principles: respect for other users, responsible use of the service and protection of the information shared through it.
Contents
Purpose of the service
Kinioo is a digital service designed to make family life easier to organize.
Depending on the features available, Kinioo may in particular allow users to manage and share:
• appointments and events;
• tasks;
• lists;
• family information;
• documents;
• information relating to budgets or expenses;
• reminders and deadlines;
• as well as other information useful for organizing everyday life.
Some features may also be provided by Kiny, the Kinioo assistant.
Kinioo is an organization and assistance tool. It does not replace users’ personal decisions or professional advice where such advice is necessary.
Account creation
Some Kinioo features require the creation of a user account.
The user agrees to provide accurate information and to keep their account information up to date.
The user is responsible for keeping their means of access confidential and for activities carried out through their account.
If the user suspects unauthorized use of their account, they must inform Kinioo as soon as possible.
Family and invited members
Kinioo allows users to create or join a family space and invite other people to it.
Each user remains responsible for the information they add or share in that space.
A person who invites another user must ensure that they are authorized to give that user access to the information concerned.
Access rights may vary depending on the features, the user’s role or the settings defined within the family.
Permitted use
Kinioo must be used in a personal and family context, unless a feature expressly provides for another use.
In particular, users must not:
• use Kinioo for unlawful or fraudulent purposes;
• attempt to access another user’s account or data without authorization;
• circumvent the service’s security mechanisms;
• deliberately disrupt the operation of Kinioo;
• introduce malicious software or content intended to compromise the service;
• use Kinioo in a way that may infringe the rights of others.
Kinioo may intervene when manifestly abusive or dangerous use of the service is identified.
Content and documents
Users may store information, documents, images, notes or other content in Kinioo.
Users retain ownership of the content they add to Kinioo.
However, they grant Kinioo the technical rights strictly necessary to store, process, synchronize and display that content in order to provide the service.
Users are responsible for the information they add and must ensure that they have the right to use or share it.
Information about other people
Because Kinioo is designed for family life, some stored information may concern other people, including children.
Users who add such information must ensure that they are authorized to do so.
They must also limit the information shared to what is reasonably necessary for use of the service.
Kinioo pays particular attention to protecting data concerning family members, especially children.
Kiny and artificial intelligence
Kiny is the Kinioo assistant and remains distinct from the artificial intelligence systems that some features may use.
Some Kinioo features may use artificial intelligence systems, including through Kiny.
Kiny may in particular help to organize, search, summarize, understand or use certain information available in Kinioo.
Automatically generated responses may contain errors, approximations or incomplete information.
Users must therefore verify important information before making a decision based on it.
Kiny must not be regarded as a health, legal, financial or other regulated professional whose field requires specialist advice.
Data processing related to these features is described in greater detail in the Kinioo Privacy Policy.
Reminders and financial information
Kinioo may provide reminders or help organize certain information relating to deadlines, invoices, budgets or expenses.
These features are provided as organizational assistance tools.
Users remain responsible for:
• actually paying their invoices;
• meeting their deadlines;
• checking recorded amounts and information;
• financial decisions made on the basis of information available in Kinioo.
Kinioo does not provide banking, fiduciary or financial advisory services.
Reading documents and QR-bills
Some features may automatically analyze or extract information from documents, including invoices or Swiss QR-bills.
These features are intended to make it easier to enter information.
Automatic reading results may contain errors.
Users must therefore verify important information before using it, including amounts, references, payment details or deadlines.
Subscriptions and payments
Some Kinioo features may be free, while others may require a paid subscription.
Prices, included features, billing terms and any trial periods are stated before subscription.
When users subscribe to a paid offering, the applicable price and billing frequency are presented to them before confirmation.
Payments may be processed by a specialist payment provider.
Kinioo does not directly store full bank card details when they are processed by that provider.
Free trial
Kinioo may offer a free trial period for certain offerings.
The duration of the trial and the applicable terms are stated at the time of registration.
If the trial is followed by the automatic start of a paid subscription, this information and the applicable price must be clearly presented before the offering is confirmed.
The arrangements for preventing renewal or ending the subscription are also specified at the time of subscription.
Cancelling a subscription
Where a subscription is offered, users may end it in accordance with the arrangements stated at the time of subscription or through the settings available in Kinioo.
Unless otherwise stated at the time of subscription, cancellation prevents future renewal of the subscription but does not immediately delete the Kinioo account.
Where applicable, users may continue to use the features to which they are entitled until the end of the period already paid for.
Account deletion
Users may request deletion of their Kinioo account.
Deleting the account may result in the permanent deletion of the data associated with it.
Before deleting their account, users are responsible for retrieving or saving any information they wish to keep where an export feature is available.
Some information may be retained temporarily where this is necessary to comply with legal, accounting, technical or security obligations.
The arrangements concerning personal data are detailed in the Privacy Policy.
Service availability
Kinioo takes reasonable measures to ensure the availability and proper operation of the service.
The service may nevertheless be temporarily unavailable, including due to:
• maintenance operations;
• updates;
• technical incidents;
• issues involving external providers;
• or events beyond our control.
Kinioo does not guarantee that the service will be permanently available or uninterrupted.
Changes to the service
Kinioo is a service that will evolve over time.
Features may be added, changed or removed in order to improve the service, address technical constraints or develop the offering.
Where such changes materially affect a paid feature or the applicable contractual terms, the users concerned will be informed in an appropriate manner.
Liability
Kinioo provides a tool designed to make family organization easier.
Users remain responsible for the decisions they make, the information they enter and how they use the service.
To the extent permitted by applicable law, Kinioo may in particular not be held liable for consequences resulting from:
• incorrect information entered by the user;
• misuse of the service;
• a decision made solely on the basis of automatically generated information or a response;
• temporary unavailability of the service;
• or an event beyond Kinioo’s reasonable control.
This provision does not limit liabilities that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.
Data protection
The processing of personal data in connection with Kinioo is described in the Kinioo Privacy Policy.
Intellectual property
The Kinioo service, its visual identity, logo, Kiny, interface, texts, graphic elements, software and other proprietary content are protected by applicable intellectual property rights.
Use of Kinioo does not transfer any intellectual property rights to the user.
Content added by users remains the property of its respective owners.
Account suspension
Kinioo may temporarily restrict or suspend an account where there are reasonable grounds to believe:
• that the account is being used abusively or fraudulently;
• that the security of the account or service has been compromised;
• that use of the service seriously breaches these terms;
• or that action is necessary to protect other users or Kinioo.
Where reasonably possible, the user concerned will be informed of the situation.
Changes to the terms
Kinioo may change these terms in particular to take account of:
• changes to the service;
• new features;
• technical changes;
• changes to our offerings;
• or new legal requirements.
Where changes are significant, the users concerned will be informed in an appropriate manner.
The applicable version and its last-updated date are published on this page.
